Amber Alert Baby Found Safe; Father Charged

The alert was initially issued when Courtez's father, John Austin Jr., allegedly took the child following a domestic dispute and threatened self-harm, causing alarm for the child's safety. A programming error delayed the alert's phone notifications, but authorities used a backup system to distribute the warning. Courtez was evaluated at a hospital after being found safe. John Austin Jr. is facing charges of misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor/neglect and resisting an investigation.
