Florida Highway Patrol seeks drivers in multiple fatal hit-and-run incidents

Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is investigating two hit-and-run incidents involving vehicles that fled the scene after injuring or killing pedestrians. In one case, an 11-year-old girl was struck by a white Toyota pickup while waiting for a school bus in Lake City, suffering minor injuries. In a separate incident, a black 2024 Tesla Model X was found in connection with a hit-and-run that resulted in the death of a 37-year-old man on I-275 while he was changing a tire. FHP has not yet identified a suspect in this case, but the investigation is ongoing. Additionally, FHP is seeking a 2021 or newer Tesla Model X with damage related to another hit-and-run that killed an 85-year-old man in Escambia County.
