Love Island Alum Cashel Barnett Charged with Domestic Violence in Utah

Cashel Barnett, known for his appearances on 'Love Island USA' and 'The Challenge: USA,' has been arrested in Salt Lake City, Utah, on charges of aggravated assault, domestic violence in the presence of a child, and misdemeanor assault. The charges stem from an incident on April 10, where Barnett allegedly assaulted and strangled his ex-girlfriend in front of their 1-year-old child, causing her to experience significant physical symptoms and fear for her safety. The victim reported the alleged assault to police on April 24, also indicating that Barnett had previously threatened her life. Authorities considered the victim at high risk for homicide, prompting a no-bail arrest warrant. Barnett voluntarily surrendered and is awaiting a detention hearing, with his legal team declining comment until after the hearing. The case is ongoing and remains under investigation.
