Jon Reep, the winner of NBC's Last Comic Standing Season 5 in 2007, has been charged with multiple counts of sexual exploitation of a minor following a grand jury indictment in Catawba County, North Carolina. Authorities received a cyber tip in April 2025 from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children concerning child sexual abuse material linked to Reep's account, leading to a search warrant and forensic examination of his electronic devices. He faces one count of second-degree and nine counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, involving victims between the ages of one and fourteen. Reep was arrested on September 5, 2025, posted a $260,000 bond, and is set to appear in court on September 8. As a result, several of his scheduled comedy shows, including one at the Paramount Theater in Goldsboro, North Carolina, have been canceled or postponed. Reep is known for his comedy specials on platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime, as well as roles on TV shows like "Eastbound & Down" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm."
