Drew Chief of Police Terry Tyler has been indicted on charges of aggravated assault related to a shootout that occurred at a Southaven restaurant in October 2022, as announced by District Attorney Matthew Barton. The shootout at Red Hook Cajun Seafood involved a confrontation that escalated into gunfire, resulting in one injury and another person being detained. The indictment follows an investigation by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI), which included witness statements, forensic evidence, and police reports. Barton emphasized the commitment to accountability, stating that no one is above the law and that the legal process will reveal the truth.
