Sheikh Hamdan launches Dubai Founders HQ to empower 30 unicorns, 400 SMEs by 2033
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, launched Dubai Founders HQ, a pioneering initiative designed to consolidate and strengthen Dubai's startup and SME ecosystem. This flagship 'phygital' platform, a joint effort by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, combines a physical campus with a comprehensive digital ecosystem to foster collaboration among founders, investors, corporates, and enablers. The initiative aims to scale 30 unicorn startups and support the growth of 400 SMEs by 2033 as part of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33. Over 25 public and private sector partners spanning diverse fields such as venture capital, financial services, government, and telecommunications have joined the platform, reinforcing its central role in Dubai's innovation landscape. The Founders HQ, located at the 25Hours Hotel in One Central, Dubai World Trade Centre, offers startups services like mentorship, venture building, business setup, and investor access. Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship as a vital force for sustainable development and innovation in Dubai, underscoring the city's commitment to fostering creativity and global business expansion.
