Barranquilla Unveils 24-Foot Sofia Vergara Statue Amid Fan Criticism

Sofía Vergara was honored with a 24-foot bronze statue in her hometown of Barranquilla, Colombia, unveiled on her 53rd birthday as a tribute to her career and roots. The statue, created by local artist Yino Márquez who also sculpted a statue of Shakira, depicts Vergara in a black gown with sculptural stars rising from her hands and was the result of seven months of work with the help of students.
