The Community Health Center (CHC) in Connecticut has reported a significant data breach affecting over one million patients, with sensitive personal information being compromised. The breach was detected on January 2, 2025, following unauthorized access by a skilled hacker on October 14, 2024. The compromised data includes patient addresses, phone numbers, diagnoses, treatment details, Social Security numbers, and health insurance information. CHC clarified that the hacker did not delete or encrypt any data, and normal operations were not impacted. No major cybercriminal group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
