Green Day Performs 'Haushinka' Live in Chile After 28 Years

Green Day recently performed the song "Haushinka" live for the first time in nearly 30 years during their concert at Santiago's Parque Estadio Nacional in Chile. The track, originally from their 1997 album Nimrod, had not been played live since around 1997, with Billie Joe Armstrong noting it might have last been performed in 1993. The band's setlist also included hits like "American Idiot," "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," and "Jesus of Suburbia," showcasing a mix of deep cuts and fan favorites. Green Day is currently on their 'Saviors' tour, which began in Spain in May 2024 and is scheduled to run through September 2025, including upcoming U.S. festival appearances. The band shared footage of the special performance on social media, expressing excitement about revisiting rare songs and highlighted the importance of their longstanding friendship in maintaining their musical integrity. Additionally, Green Day announced a Live Nation-produced feature comedy titled New Years Rev, premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival.
