Cuban National Charged in Las Vegas Bank Robbery
Anoy Lopez-Bles, a 50-year-old Cuban national, made his initial court appearance in Nevada, facing charges of bank robbery with a replica firearm. He has a significant criminal history, including six prior felony convictions for bank robbery, burglary, and drug offenses, as well as five misdemeanor convictions for various crimes. Lopez-Bles has failed to appear in court 20 times and violated probation or parole over 10 times. A jury trial is scheduled for May 19, 2025, and if convicted, he could face up to 20 years in federal prison. The case is being prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office and was investigated by the FBI and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Lopez-Bles is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
