Detroit Children Injured in Shooting; Stolen Rams Sought

Two children, an 8-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl, were injured in a drive-by shooting while sleeping in their home on Detroit's Arcola Avenue around 6:20 a.m. Thursday. Police report that suspects in two stolen black Dodge Rams opened fire on the house, injuring the children in the arm and foot with non-life-threatening wounds. Both parents and other children in the home were unharmed. The incident comes amid recent violence against children in Detroit, including the fatal shooting of a 6-year-old days earlier.
