Two Arcadia High Teens Found Shot Near SR 87
A homicide investigation is underway after two Arcadia High School students, 18-year-old Pandora Kjolsrud and 17-year-old Evan Clark, were found shot to death in a remote area near Mount Ord off State Route 87 between Mesa and Payson on May 27. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) confirmed that both teens died from gunshot wounds and is treating the circumstances as suspicious. The bodies were discovered in an isolated, rugged location accessible only by rough mountain roads, leading authorities to believe the area was intentionally visited. MCSO has urged anyone with information to contact their tip line, stressing the importance of community assistance. Both the school and the victims' families have publicly expressed deep grief, with Pandora's mother remembering her daughter as vibrant and adventurous. Authorities have released few additional details as the investigation continues.
