Google has rolled out a redesigned 'Quick Reply' feature for Gmail on Android, allowing users to reply to emails directly from the bottom of the conversation window without opening a new screen. This feature is currently available to personal Google accounts and individual Google Workspace subscribers, with a gradual rollout over 15 days for Workspace customers. The update simplifies quick, lightweight responses and allows users to reference the original email while typing. Although the feature lacks advanced formatting options for more formal replies, users can expand the text box if needed. The functionality will be available to iOS users later this year. Additionally, Google has enhanced its Gemini functionality in Gmail with new writing tools for refining drafts.
