Angel Yin Leads LPGA Thailand by Five Shots

Angel Yin of the U.S. surged into the lead at the Honda LPGA Thailand with an impressive 8-under 64, bringing her three-round total to 21-under 195 and establishing a five-stroke advantage going into the final round. Yin, who has consistently performed well, noted that despite not hitting as well as in previous rounds, she capitalized on good lies and opportunities. Japanese golfer Akie Iwai, who led after the first two rounds, fell back to second place with a 71. Local favorites Moriya Jutanugarn and Jeeno Thitikul both posted 69s, tying for third at 15 under. The Honda LPGA Thailand marks the beginning of the LPGA's Asian swing, which will continue in Singapore and China in the coming weeks. Yin is in pursuit of her second LPGA title after her victory at the Buick LPGA Shanghai in 2023.
