Multiple Wildfires Spread Across Riverside County With Limited Containment

Two significant wildfires broke out in Riverside County, California, on July 10, 2025, amid an extreme heat wave affecting the region. The Madera Fire, which started around 9:30 a.m. near Pauba Road and Winners Circle in Temecula, burned approximately 19 to 25 acres in light, flashy fuels before containment efforts slowed its spread, with about 5% containment achieved by midday.
