Stefano Cantino Named New CEO of Gucci

Kering has announced the appointment of Stefano Cantino as the new CEO of Gucci, set to take over on January 1, 2025, succeeding Jean-François Palus. Cantino, who joined Gucci as deputy CEO in May 2024, is expected to build on the foundations laid by Palus, who has been credited with making significant decisions during a challenging transitional period. Francesca Bellettini, Kering's deputy CEO, expressed confidence in Cantino's ability to restore Gucci's leadership in the luxury market. The brand has also strengthened its management with the addition of Cayetano Fabry as chief commercial officer, who brings extensive experience from the luxury sector. Palus's tenure involved crucial restructuring and hiring key talents to prepare Gucci for future growth. Kering's chairman, François-Henri Pinault, recognized Palus's contributions and collaboration over three decades.
