Amtrak Offers $10 Fares for Wildfire Relief

Amtrak, in collaboration with the Los Angeles – San Diego – San Luis Obispo (LOSSAN) Rail Corridor Agency, is offering $10 one-way fares on its Pacific Surfliner train service to assist those affected by the recent wildfires in Southern California. This promotion is available for travel between January 13 and January 24, with tickets required to be purchased by January 17 using the code V505. The fare applies to any one-way coach trip between the 29 stations along the route, which spans from San Luis Obispo to San Diego. This initiative comes as local businesses and organizations, including hotels and restaurants, are also providing support to wildfire evacuees. Alongside Amtrak's efforts, rideshare services like Lyft are offering free rides to shelters for displaced individuals.
