Hanna Kobayashi, a 30-year-old woman from Hawaii, was confirmed alive after crossing into Mexico following her disappearance from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on November 8, where she missed a flight to New York. Surveillance footage showed her crossing the U.S.-Mexico border near Tijuana on November 12-13, and law enforcement officials have classified her case as a 'voluntary missing person,' stating there is no evidence of foul play or trafficking. Kobayashi's disappearance garnered significant media attention, especially following the suicide of her father, Ryan Kobayashi, who was found dead after searching for her. Family members expressed concerns about her well-being, noting alarming text messages they received from her prior to her departure.
