The annual search for the top 50 Most Influential Women in UK Tech has expanded to over 700 nominations this year, with a panel set to shortlist candidates for the 2024 accolade. The longlist highlights significant contributions from women and non-binary individuals in the tech sector, culminating in an announcement during Computer Weekly’s Diversity in Tech event. Meanwhile, J.P. Morgan's 2024 report identifies Starling Bank and Beauty Pie as the fastest-growing UK businesses led by women, showcasing their impressive sales growth and expansion. Starling Bank, founded by Anne Boden, reported £507 million in sales and a 31.8% increase in headcount in 2023, while Beauty Pie recorded a turnover of £67.5 million. The report emphasizes the significant rise in investment for women-led businesses, which has tripled over the past decade. Rising star recognition was also given to fitness influencer Grace Beverley, highlighting the diverse impact of women entrepreneurs.
