Missing Couple Found Dead in Redlands

The remains of Stephanie Menard, 73, and Daniel Menard, 79, have been positively identified after being discovered under the home of their neighbor, Michael Sparks, at the Olive Dell Ranch nudist resort in Redlands, California. Sparks, 62, has been charged with two counts of murder related to the couple's deaths, which were reported on August 25. Authorities launched extensive searches after the couple was reported missing, raising concerns among neighbors who noted suspicious circumstances surrounding their disappearance. The investigation revealed that the Menards' car was found abandoned nearby, with their belongings still inside their home. Neighbors indicated that Sparks had a contentious relationship with the couple, which may have contributed to the tragic events. Sparks is currently being held without bail, and his arraignment has been delayed twice as the case progresses.
