During a recent ODI series in Sri Lanka, Indian batters struggled significantly, losing 27 wickets to spin and suffering a 0-2 series defeat. Ten Doeschate is keen to address this issue by focusing on mental adjustments rather than technical changes, aiming to restore India's historical strength against spin. He sees upcoming home Test matches against Bangladesh and New Zealand as crucial opportunities for improvement. Alongside head coach Gautam Gambhir and fellow assistant coaches, Ten Doeschate is also preparing the team for the World Test Championship final and the Champions Trophy.
