Topps Regains Exclusive NBA Trading Card License, Launches China Market Strategy

Topps has regained the exclusive NBA trading card license starting October 1, 2025, ending Panini's long tenure as the sole licensee. Fanatics Collectibles, which owns Topps, announced a global multi-pronged approach beginning with a partnership in China to release NBA Match Attax 2025 cards, while the flagship 2025-26 Topps Basketball set will launch in the U.S. with pre-orders starting October 3 and retail availability on October 23. The new Topps cards will feature key rookies like No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg with his first licensed autographed cards, Victor Wembanyama’s first NBA licensed autographs, and LeBron James’ first licensed autographs in over 15 years.
