Sri Lanka Wins First T20I Over Zimbabwe by Four Wickets in Harare

Sri Lanka secured a thrilling four-wicket victory over Zimbabwe in the opening match of the three-match T20I series at Harare Sports Club. Zimbabwe posted a competitive total of 175 for seven, largely thanks to opener Brian Bennett's fluent 81 runs, supported by Sikandar Raza and Ryan Burl. Sri Lanka's chase was anchored by Pathum Nissanka's quick 55, but after a strong start, they faced a collapse losing four wickets for just 10 runs. Kamindu Mendis then played a sensational unbeaten knock of 41 off 16 balls, including four sixes, to guide Sri Lanka to victory with five balls to spare. Dushmantha Chameera was the standout bowler for Sri Lanka, taking three wickets and maintaining a tight economy rate. The second T20I in the series will be held at the same venue on Saturday.
