Frank Borman, commander of the Apollo 8 mission, passed away at the age of 95. During the mission, Borman and his crewmates circled the moon and read from the Book of Genesis in a live telecast. Borman played a crucial role in NASA's investigation of the Apollo 1 fire and helped redesign the command module. After leaving NASA, Borman served as the head of Eastern Airlines.
