Crash Kills Flint Woman, Closes I-96 Near Lansing
A 34-year-old woman from Flint, Michigan, was killed in a multi-vehicle crash involving two semi-trucks on Interstate 96 near Lansing on March 4. The collision happened when her Toyota Avalon was rear-ended by a semi-truck, causing it to cross the median and collide with another truck traveling westbound. Authorities pronounced the woman dead at the scene, and both truck drivers were unharmed. The Michigan State Police closed both directions of I-96 for several hours as they investigated the crash, which remains ongoing. The police have not yet determined if drugs or alcohol were factors in the accident. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Michigan State Police Lansing Post.
